Salary Range: $85,000.00 - $90,000.00 Salary/year
Job Shift: Exempt Status

A Brief Overview
Responsible for overseeing day-to-day and strategic operations in the Information Technology department. Ensure quality work is performed in accordance to all agency policies and provide supervision to department staff.

What would you do in this position?

  • Plan for and make recommendations for growth, development, staffing, and budgetary needs of the department
  • Lead, motivate, interview, and train a department of employees while promoting a positive environment
  • Monitor training, work performance, and timecards of employees and take action if necessary
  • Complete required paperwork and accurately record and maintain in department database
  • Communicate professionally and positively with others to maintain appropriate relationships with other people and agencies
  • Identify and resolve all work-related technology problems and respond to emergencies
  • Maintain and manage virtual environment and physical hardware; install and configure equipment; configure and manage firewalls as required; monitor systems to improve performance
  • Perform regular security audits and maintain accurate records
  • Maintain computer networks including VPNs, routers and switches; install and configure network equipment; configure and manage firewalls as required; monitor computer systems to improve network performance for all systems at all NMCS locations
  • Act as a liaison between hardware and software suppliers and NMCS
  • Oversee all aspects of installing, repairing, and modifying all computing equipment, devices, and other hardware and software
  • Create and maintain systems for data backup, recovery, restoration, and security

Qualifications


What education or experience would you need?

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology field preferred
  • 7 years or more experience working in IT with a Windows-based network required
  • 1 year or more supervisory experience preferred
  • Valid Driver's License required
  • Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert required
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate required
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate required
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate required
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert required
  • Combination of education and experience may be used to meet the education and work experience requirements

What knowledge, skills, or abilities would you need?

  • Ability to be on-call
  • Ability to communicate clearly in oral and written forms
  • Ability to work a remote and flexible schedule
  • Advanced communication and leadership skills needed to lead a department
  • Advanced interpersonal skills to professionally collaborate with other departments and directors
  • Advanced knowledge in hardware, software, network, and server installation, maintenance, and repair
  • Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Exchange, Active Directory, Server Operating Systems, and Suite
  • Advanced knowledge of Apple and Android operating systems
  • Advanced knowledge of technology such as internet browsers, PDF software, database systems
  • Advanced organization and time management skills
  • Analytical thinking skills to solve complex problems
  • Basic typing and data entry skills
  • Strong attention to detail
